Requirements by Foreign Embassies and Consulates in Canada

Nov 26 2015
English
Embassy of Angola in Ottawa It is a task next to impossible to describe the requirements of each foreign Embassy/Consulate.  Some people erroneously think that if the document has the GAC (JLAC) stamp, it will automatically be legalized by any foreign Embassy/Consulate.  The reality is that such document can still be rejected by foreign Embassies/Consulates because of certain non-conformances to the embassy-specific procedures.  Foreign consuls have their power given by their countries to make appropriate decisions for each document situation.
Also, some embassies do not have all of the relevant information posted on their websites, and a few have no websites at all.  Furthermore, certain countries do not have offices in Ottawa because they assigned legalization duties for Canadian documents to their Washington, DC embassy or consulate in New York City.
Canada Legalization Services© knows the requirements of all embassies because we often submit our clients' documents both in Canada and the USA.  Thus, you can contact us or request the quote for your specific document scenario, and we will be happy to assist you with both authentication at Foreign Affairs and legalization at the embassy as one package.
Canada Legalization Services© can assist you to legalize your Canadian documents at those embassies not represented in Canada.
